Master Artist - Abu The Flute Maker

The Youth Resiliency Institute’s Kujichagulia Master Artist-In-Residence Program recognizes the importance of supporting Master Artists at the root- by supporting artists themselves. By providing seldom recognized Baltimore-based Master Artists of African heritage both funding and welcoming spaces where they can create works of art with unrestricted freedom, Master Artists pass along important cultural knowledge to children, youth and families throughout Baltimore’s most marginalized neighborhoods.
